Choose where documents are kept

- To use the client's own Drive, type the client's e-mail and click Create client link.
- Click Copy message and send it to the client. The link works once and expires in 7 days.
- The client signs in to Google and the folder is created in their Drive.

Good to know
- Records are kept in a database on Khanal Group servers in India, as part of the K-Finance application. Nightly encrypted backups are kept up to 12 months.
- Files go to Google Drive only, through K-Secretarial's own Google Drive link. OneDrive is not offered. Files are not kept on our server and are not in our backups.
- Statutory records you delete are hidden with the reason and can be restored. Other deleted records are erased after 30 days. Deletions are kept in the audit trail.
- To export or delete all your data, see Export or delete your data.
Common errors
Can the app read everything in my Google Drive?
No. It asks only for drive.file, so it can see only the folders and files it creates. Files you add to the folder directly in Drive are not listed in the app.
Who can see my companies?
Only members of your organisation, as their role allows. Clients see only what you share through an upload link or a read-only status link.
A member who owned a company's Drive folder has left
An owner or admin opens Drive & settings → Drive ownership, clicks Move, then Move to another member's Drive…. A new folder is made in another member's Drive. Old files stay where they are.
What happens when I disconnect Google Drive?
Access is revoked at Google and the stored token is deleted. Your folders and files stay in your Drive, but uploads stop until you connect again.
Still stuck?
