Keep statutory registers and the share ledger
K-Secretarial keeps the statutory registers for each company. The register of members (MGT-1) is built from the share ledger, so you record allotments and transfers once.

Good to know
- The register of members cannot be typed into. Change the share ledger instead.
- The register of directors and KMP comes from the Directors & KMP tab.
- LLPs keep partners' contributions in the Partners tab, not shares.
- Keep signed printouts in the company's Drive folder.
Common errors
"The ledger would not balance with this entry restored"
Restoring the entry would take a member below zero or issue more than authorised. Adjust the later entries first, then restore it.
The register of members shows a red conflict
Old entries typed in before the ledger do not match it. Check the holdings in the ledger, then delete the old entries listed below the register.
My LLP is not in the company list
LLPs have no shares, so they are not listed under Shareholding. Use the Partners tab on the LLP's page.
