Mark labour attendance and prepare wage sheets in K-Projects

The project's Labour tab keeps daily attendance of your own workers and contractors' gangs. A manager locks each day and prepares wage sheets from it.

What you need

  • The Project manager or Organisation admin role to register workers, lock days and prepare wages
  • The Site engineer role on the project to mark attendance
  • Each worker's trade, employer (own or a contractor), daily rate and OT rate
  • Labour contractors added in Contractors & suppliers

Register workers and put them on the project

  1. Click Labour in the left menu.
  2. Open Add a worker and fill in the name, trade, skill, employer, daily rate and OT rate.
  3. Choose the project in Put on project and click Add worker.
  4. To add workers already in the register, open the project's Labour tab, then Workers, choose them under Put workers on this project and click Put on project.

Mark today's attendance

  1. Open the project and click the Labour tab.
  2. Click Mark today's attendance.
  3. To mark a whole gang at once, under Mark a whole gang choose the Gang / contractor, choose Mark all as Present, type the time in and out, and click Mark all.
  4. In the table, change the few who differ: Present, Half day or Absent, time in, time out and OT hours.
  5. Optional: tap Add GPS location.
  6. Click Save attendance.
  7. For a contractor who gives numbers only, fill Head counts (contractors reporting numbers) and click Add head count.

Lock the day (manager)

  1. Open the day's attendance and check it against the DPR note at the top.
  2. Click Lock sheet and confirm.
  3. To change a locked day, open Reopen this sheet, type the Reason and click Reopen.

Prepare and approve the wage sheet

  1. On the Labour tab, click Wage sheets.
  2. Choose the period From and To and click Prepare wage sheet.
  3. Add advances and deductions for each worker and save.
  4. Ask another manager to open the sheet and click Approve wage sheet.
  5. Print the muster roll and the register of wages from the approved sheet.

Good to know

  • The page compares attendance with the DPR manpower of the same date and warns when the two differ.
  • Attendance inside an approved wage period cannot change until that wage sheet is cancelled.
  • Man-hours gives strength and man-hours by trade, contractor and day, with a CSV download. Labour plan and Productivity are on the same tab.
  • Only the last 4 digits of Aadhaar are recorded for a worker.

Common errors

"No workers on this project yet. A manager puts workers on the project under Workers."

Ask a manager to put workers on the project from the register, then open attendance again.

"Attendance older than N days is entered by a manager."

The day is past the limit set for site engineers. Ask a project manager to enter it.

"This date is in the approved wage sheet of …: attendance cannot change until that wage sheet is cancelled."

The wages for that period are approved. A manager must cancel the wage sheet with a reason before attendance can change.

"Saved, except: …"
