What you need

  • A Khanal ID with two-step sign-in turned on (recommended)
  • The Lead role to choose the project's Drive

Choose where the project's files are kept

  1. Open the project and click Settings.
  2. Under Google Drive, choose Company's Secretarial Drive or A separate Google Drive for this IPO.
  3. Click Save Drive choice.
  4. Confirm with Switch Drive if folders already exist. Old files stay in the old folder, and its link is kept.

Delete a project

  1. Open the project and click Settings.
  2. Click Delete project and confirm.

Good to know

  • Records are kept in a database on Khanal Group servers in India, as part of the K-Finance application. Nightly encrypted backups are kept up to 12 months.
  • Files go to Google Drive, through the company's K-Secretarial Drive link or a separate Google account of your organisation. They pass through our server on the way and are not kept on it.
  • Frozen versions and filed copies carry a SHA-256 hash, checked on every download.
  • Deleting a project removes it from K-IPO. The company master, people and share register stay in K-Secretarial, and Drive files stay in Drive. See Export or delete your data.

Common errors

Who can see a project?

Owners, admins and finance managers see every project. Everyone else sees only projects they are a member of. External advisers see nothing else in the organisation.

Is an upload link safe?

Anyone with the link can upload to the listed items until it expires or you close it. They cannot see other files. Uploads stay in quarantine until a team member accepts them.

Can K-IPO read my whole Google Drive?

No. It asks only for access to the files it creates (drive.file).

Is there a record of who did what?

Yes. Sign-offs, approvals and verifications show who did them and when, and changes that cancel an approval are audited.
