Connect K-HR to K-Finance payroll and other apps

K-HR links to K-Finance payroll. A field login made in K-HR can also open K-Projects or K-Survey. There are no other links today.

What you need

  • The Organisation admin role in K-HR
  • Owner or admin access to the K-Finance workspace of the same company
  • Your K-HR organisation linked to its Khanal organisation in Khanal ID

Make a link token in K-Finance

  1. In K-Finance, open finance.khanals.in/api/v1/link/hr.
  2. Open the K-HR links tab.
  3. Choose the company whose payroll K-HR feeds.
  4. Make a token and copy it. It is shown only once and starts with kfl1.

Connect in K-HR

  1. Open K-HR and the user menu → K-Finance payroll.
  2. Paste the token in Link token from K-Finance.
  3. Click Connect. Payroll employees come across.
  4. Click Bring employees now any time to update them.

Give a field login K-Projects or K-Survey

  1. Open the employee's page and the App login card.
  2. Under Create field login, tick Also open K-Projects as site engineer or Also open K-Survey as surveyor.
  3. Click Create field login. One person keeps one login and one PIN.

Good to know

  • Employees added in K-HR go to K-Finance without salary. Payroll sets the structure, CTC, PAN and bank details there.
  • Nothing reaches payroll until a person in K-Finance accepts it under To review. Values they typed themselves are never overwritten.
  • The K-Projects and K-Survey boxes show only when your organisation uses those apps.
  • To stop the link, click Disconnect. What K-Finance already has stays there.

Common errors

"Link this organisation to its Khanal organisation first."

Open Switch organisation in the user menu and link your organisation to Khanal ID, then connect again.

"That is not a K-Finance link token ..."

Copy the whole token from K-Finance. It looks like kfl1.0123456789abcdef.… and is shown only once; make a new one if you lost it.

"This token is for another app. Make a token for K-HR in K-Finance."

Make the token on the K-HR links tab, not for K-Projects or K-Logistics.

"Only an organisation admin can connect or disconnect K-Finance."

An HR manager can bring employees and send months, but an organisation admin must connect the link.
