Send Tally data to K-Finance automatically

Khanal Sync is a small add-on (a TDL file) that runs inside TallyPrime. It sends the company’s masters and vouchers to K-Finance, first all at once and then only what changed. No export, no upload, no program to install.

What you need

  • TallyPrime 3.0 or later (3.x, 4.x or 5.x) with the company open
  • The company added in K-Finance under Settings → Entities
  • A paid K-Finance plan
  • Owner or Admin role in K-Finance for the token

Get the token and the add-on

  1. Open https://finance.khanals.in/api/v1/tally/connect while signed in to K-Finance.
  2. Choose the K-Finance company and click Create connector token. Copy the token; it is shown once.
  3. Click KhanalSync.tdl under Option A to download the add-on.

Load it in TallyPrime

  1. Copy KhanalSync.tdl into the TallyPrime folder, for example C:\Program Files\TallyPrime.
  2. Press F1 (Help) → TDLs & Add-ons → Manage Local TDLs.
  3. Set Load selected TDL files on startup to Yes, type the full path of KhanalSync.tdl and accept. The status shows Loaded.

Configure and send

  1. Open the company and go to Gateway of Tally → Khanal Sync → Configure. Paste the token and accept.
  2. Choose Khanal Sync → Sync now (full) once and answer Yes.
  3. After that, Tally sends changes by itself every few minutes while it is open. Sync changes sends them at once.
  4. Check Khanal Sync → Status and last result. In K-Finance, check, map and commit the rows in the Migration center (see Move your books from Tally).

Let checked entries post by themselves (optional)

  1. On the Tally Connector page, click Turn on under Apply automatically after validation. It is off until you turn it on.
  2. Entries that pass every check are then posted after each sync, in a migration of their own that you can revert. Entries with an error or a warning still wait for review.

Good to know

  • Khanal Sync only reads from Tally. It never changes your Tally data and never asks for a Tally password.
  • It sends to finance.khanals.in over HTTPS only. The address is fixed in the add-on.
  • Saving a voucher never waits for the internet. If the internet is down, the changes are kept as pending and sent at the next try.
  • A change Tally makes to an entry already posted in K-Finance is never applied by itself: it is listed on the Tally Connector page for you to keep or reverse.
  • To stop it at once, click Revoke this connector on the Tally Connector page. Tally.ERP 9 users can keep using the PowerShell connector (Option B on the same page).

Common errors

"The connector token is not valid or was revoked."

Create a new token on the Tally Connector page and paste it in Khanal Sync → Configure.

"This connector token is for the Tally company …"

The token belongs to another Tally company. Open the right company in Tally, or create a token for this one.

"K-Finance did not answer (no internet, or finance.khanals.in could not be reached)."

Nothing is lost. Khanal Sync tries again by itself; you can also choose Sync changes when the internet is back.

"Field … is not part of the contract …"

The add-on file was changed or is out of date. Download KhanalSync.tdl again from the Tally Connector page.
