Drive Connect

Who can connect a drive: administrators and members

A storage organisation has two kinds of people. Administrators connect, change and disconnect the drive. Members see only whether storage is ready and who manages it.

What you need

  • A Khanal ID with two-step verification
  • Owner or admin rights in the app you start from (to link the app)
  • Administrator rights in the storage organisation (to change storage)

Add another administrator

  1. Open storage.khanals.in/storage and click your organisation.
  2. Under Administrators, type the email in Add administrator (Khanal ID email).
  3. Click Add. The person can manage storage after signing in with Khanal ID.

Check who manages storage

  1. Open your organisation's storage page.
  2. Read the Administrators card. An email marked (invited) has not signed in yet.

Good to know

  • To start the link from an app you need its storage settings: in K-Tender, K-Projects and K-CRM the role that can open Settings; in K-Finance an owner or admin.
  • Members see no account, file names or counts, and change nothing.
  • If your storage organisation is linked to a Khanal organisation, people are managed in Khanal ID at khanals.in/org; admins there manage storage here.
  • For a company, connect a company account or a Shared drive, not one employee's personal drive.

Common errors

"Only organisation administrators can change storage."

You are a member. Ask an administrator listed on the page to make the change or to add you.

"Only an owner or admin of this organisation can connect its storage." (K-Finance)

Ask an owner or admin of the K-Finance workspace to connect storage.

"People of ... are managed in Khanal ID: add them to the organisation at khanals.in/org."

Add the person to your Khanal organisation at khanals.in/org instead of here.

"Enter a valid email."

Type the full email the person uses for Khanal ID.
