Good to know
- Sign-in is through Khanal ID with two-step verification for office staff; field staff use a PIN on their own phone. Surveyors see only surveys assigned to them; managers, estimators and viewers see the whole organisation.
- Location is taken only when you press a button: check in, check out, log a visit or add photos. Location and camera details inside photo files are removed when stored.
- Records are in a database on Khanal Group servers in India. Photos, sketches, drawings and the client's signature are in private storage on those servers, visible only to your organisation. Connecting your own drive is not available in K-Survey yet.
- The audit log records every create, change and delete as a hash chain, so a removed or altered entry shows. Positions are not copied into it. More: Security.
Common errors
How do I delete our data?
Export what you need first, then write from your account e-mail to hello@khanals.in. See Export or delete your data.
Can I survey without sharing my location?
Yes. Do not allow location when the phone asks. The visit is recorded without a position.
Who can see the client's mobile number?
People who only read surveys see it masked. It is never sent to K-Projects.
Is the survey report public?
No. Print report needs a sign-in, and there are no public links.
Still stuck?
Email hello@khanals.in with the app name, what you clicked and the exact message you saw. Do not send passwords, PINs or authenticator codes. You can also use the contact page.
