How K-Secretarial works with K-IPO and K-Finance

K-Secretarial is part of the K-Finance application. It shares one sign-in and one organisation with K-Finance and K-IPO, and passes company data to K-IPO.

What you need

  • A role that opens each app (Accountant or higher for full use)
  • Companies already set up in K-Secretarial

Switch between apps

  1. Use the switcher at the top: K-Finance, K-Secretarial and K-IPO.
  2. Or open your name at the top right and click Open K-IPO or Open K-Finance.

Use a company in K-IPO

  1. Open K-IPO and click + New IPO project.
  2. Choose the company under Company. K-IPO now uses its company master, directors and KMP, and share register.
  3. Make changes to directors and shares in K-Secretarial. K-IPO reads them from there.
  4. Set up the company's Drive folder in the Documents tab. K-IPO can use the same Drive.

Raise a fee invoice in K-Finance

  1. Open Fees & billing.
  2. Tick the unbilled fee lines and click Copy lines for invoice.
  3. Click Open K-Finance invoice ↗ and raise the tax invoice there.
  4. Come back, click Mark invoiced… and enter the invoice number.

Good to know

  • There is nothing to switch on. The links work as soon as a person has a role that opens both apps.
  • Every CS plan includes the free version of K-Finance.
  • K-Secretarial has no link yet to K-MailSign, K-Tender or the other Khanal apps, and it does not use Drive Connect.

Common errors

K-IPO says "No access"

Your role does not include K-IPO. Ask the owner or an admin to change your role in K-Finance → Settings → Team & roles.

K-IPO asks me to set up the company's Drive first

Open the company in K-Secretarial, go to Documents and create the folder. Or choose a separate Google Drive in the K-IPO project's Settings.

A director's change in K-IPO did not reach K-Secretarial

Directors and KMP are added and changed in K-Secretarial. K-IPO only keeps the extra DRHP details for each person.
