Receipts: Bill of Supply now, Tax Invoice after GST registration

Every payment made on Khanal ID Billing gets one receipt from Khanal Techno Services. This article explains the kind of receipt, its number and where to download it.

Download a receipt

  1. Sign in at khanals.in/org and open your organisation.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Scroll to Receipts. Each row shows the number, date, kind and amount.
  4. Click Download PDF on the row you need.

Get the right details on the receipt

  1. Before you pay, fill in Bill to on Billing: the name, your GSTIN if you have one, the address and the state.
  2. Choose the state where you receive the service as State (place of supply). With a GSTIN, it must be the GSTIN’s state.
  3. Check the line under the amount on Review and pay. It says Bill of Supply (no GST) or Tax Invoice.

Good to know

  • Khanal Techno Services is not registered for GST yet, so receipts are a Bill of Supply and no GST is charged. Once it registers, new orders get a Tax Invoice with 18% GST (CGST 9% + SGST 9% in the same state, else IGST 18%). Orders made before keep their kind.
  • Numbers run in one series for every app, for example KTS/2026-27/00001. The series starts again at 1 each financial year (1 April). There are no gaps or doubles.
  • The receipt shows the supplier, the number and date, place of supply, your name, address and GSTIN, SAC 998314, the amount, the total in words and the Razorpay payment id. It is also emailed to you after payment.
  • K-Finance, K-Tender and K-MailSign can still take payment in their own billing pages for organisations not yet on central billing. Those payments do not create a Khanal receipt here; Razorpay sends its payment confirmation. For a Bill of Supply for such a payment, write to hello@khanals.in with the Razorpay payment id.

Common errors

Receipts says "No receipt yet."

No payment has been made on Khanal ID Billing for this organisation. Trials and free plans have no receipt. If you paid inside an app, see the last note above.

"We are confirming your payment with Razorpay."

Razorpay has not confirmed the payment yet. Your plan and receipt come by themselves within 15 minutes. Reload Billing.

"For a GSTIN, the place of supply is the GSTIN’s state."

Choose the state that matches the first two digits of your GSTIN, or leave the GSTIN empty.

"Only the owners and admins of ... see billing."

Ask an owner or admin of the organisation to download the receipt, or to make you an admin.
